Duke a son, Jimmy Duke of Newport News a sister, Eva Mae Jenkins of Smithfield two brothers, Kelly Duke of Roanoke Rapids and Waverly Duke of Jackson, N.C. NEWPORT NEWS - Jessie Wardell "J.W." Duke, 67, who retired from construction, died Tuesday, Jan. Saturday at the funeral home by the Revs. Breland of Hampton a foster daughter, Ruby Story of Brooklyn a son, Charles Cumbo of Brooklyn two sisters, Francis Major of Smithfield and Elizabeth Woodby of Hampton five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cumbo, a native of Smithfield, was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Brooklyn, N.Y., and the Foster Parents Society for many years. ![]()
